Ok.
eComStation 2.0 RC6a
Enabled USB Legacy, but keyboard and mouse don't works, and system hangs in ECs screen splash.
Intel MB usually works with /SMP /APIC /CD -> system hangs in ECs screen splash again
Checked AMOUSE.SYS SMP -> That's correctc.
Some Ideas?
ACPI with no options OK but one time system at 99,9% when using firefox and in a minute hangs.

This time, when boot without options, the system appears to be stable. I can extract the logs.

1st do log with boot as psd=acpi.psd , attach log here. Then try psd=acpi.psd /SMP, next psd=acpi.psd /SMP /APIC

ACPI logs -> APIC values are absent for 2 devices
у него на 2 девайса отсуствует значение APIC
comment:8 by , 15 years ago
NOTE: I download ACPI315PRE.ZIP not found ACPI315.ZIP like instructions
PSD=ACPI.PSD -> System starts, mouse don`t works, sound works
PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP -> System starts, mouse works and ecenter don't works, shutdown stops in "Initializing, please wait..." ¿May be ecenter blocking? Control-Alt-Del to restart next option..
PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP /APIC -> Don't works, Photo attached

Now /APIC can't work in your system. As I see you are use SNAP. Do you cut video memory for SNAP?

gaoption.exe vidmem HowManyMemory, I think, that 16Mb be powerfull for any case
comment:12 by , 15 years ago
Sorry I used panorama, but i have been instaled SNAP and now frezzes in "SciTech SNAP Graphics ...." before Desktop load.
NOTE Control+Alt+Del works at this point
I will revert to panorama
I remember when installing if SNAP was selelected installer doesn't shows
comment:13 by , 15 years ago
Now with PANORAMA drivers ...
PSD=ACPI.PSD -> System starts, mouse now works, sound works
PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP -> System starts, mouse works and ecenter don't works, sound works, killing ecenter, system shutdown well ..
PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP /APIC -> Don't works, same photo 100_4489.jpg

I tried with PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP /R as I read in other ticket and now mouse don't works and ecenter is frozen (don't shows in screen). Keyboard works.
Then.. I comment (REM) the UNIAUD LINES in config.sys and then mouse works. (ecenter don't works again). Border of Windows command prompt not drawed.
Then I added option /MCPU:4 and this time ecenter loads and system works (no audio remember)
Now I delete /MCPU:4 option and another time ecenter blocks.
Next, I added again /MCPU:8 and ecenter don't works again.
I make me crazy!!!

Don't warry, be happy ;-) Step by step. Do pls http://ecomstation.ru/projects/acpitools/?action=logs.
Next why you have work with 4 CPU and don't work with 8 CPU. It is low memory. Try decrease cache size for IFS, remove not using drivers... try /MCPU: from 5 to 7
comment:16 by , 15 years ago
I have tried with /MCPU:5 working without audio driver, also with /MCPU:6 and /MCPU:7
When I tried /MCPU:8... upps ecenter bloqued. I removed many drivers like IFS's floppy mmos2 HPFS, but don't works
Surprise I tried /MCPU:7 and ecenter don't works!!!! /MCPU:6 and 5 and don't works.
Finally /MCPU:4 works again, actived drivers, works also.
Maybe a ecenter bug!!!!?????

Try disable CPU meter in eCenter. For resolve your APIC problem I need in http://ecomstation.ru/projects/acpitools/?action=logs
comment:19 by , 15 years ago
This morning i start the PC and with the last configuration that yesterday works...ecenter blocked, and mouse don't works. I do a hard-reset and the same configuration and now ecenter works and mouse too. (ACPI.PSD /MCPU /R /MCPU:4)
Yesterday i deleted widget of CPU meter. Is this disable CPU meter or may be is needed to do some else?
Another one.. With wath configuration you need the logs? What level logs you need?

executed with /SMP /R /MCPU:4 (Today works with 4 CPU)
mouse problems were not due to ACPI (I think).
In one of these stops I unplug the receiver and plug it again and then the mouse worked.
I downloaded the ACPI515_09-05-2009.ZIP and tried it. With /SMP /R /MCPU:8 works. Sometimes mouse stops, but unplugging it and plugging works. Many times ecenter don't show then I do many things and a windows says "ecenter do not respond.... etc" -> Finalize ecenter. this 2 or 3 times and reloading ecenter then works.
Today it is working with 8 processors.
Can I help you? Do you want that I do something to try another options?

This ticket is for an unsupported version. Please open a new ticket if you still have problems after using the current version.
e-co:
eComStation 2.0 RC6a?
Intel motherboard => BIOS Setup: USB Legacy = Off (do you have this?)
Intel MB usually works with /SMP /APIC /CD
check config.sys: AMOUSE.SYS SMP (not /SMP)
