GA-MA790GP-DS4H motherboard (AMD) doesn't normally boot into graphics mode

Description

The GA-MA790GP-DS4H motherboard with AMD Phenom X4quad9850, AMD chipset 790GX and AMD SB750 doesn't boot into the graphics mode (Panorama), except when I use ALT-F4 on the bootblob. It then always boots completely, but the quadcore processor only uses the first core, the others are reported (ecenter widget) to work at 100,0%. On the other hand the CPU monitor shows those cores at 0,0%. Booting into protshell=C:\OS2\cmd.exe works without using tyhe ALT-F4 trick. I have created an acpi.loggraphic and an acpi.log. I also created a dsdt_GBTUACPI.dslgrak\phic and a dsdt_GBTUACPI.dsl. Don't think those are different though. eCS version used 2.0RC6a PSD switches used /SMP /!NOD Tested nearly all possible combinations of other switches which hasn't improved anything.

/SMP on AMD based chipsets (690, 780, 790) is a know problem as you can see when looking into the other bugreports (e.g. #333, #345, #178). Until this problem is addressed don't use /SMP. Not very nice but it should work.

As Pasha doesn't seem to have any AMD hardware to test would it help to sponsor the hardware? The 780G based boards are pretty cheap and start at ~55 EUR (the Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H would be 65 EUR...bought very often) and you get a processor AMD X2 Dual Core Processor like the 4850e (boxed) for round about 55 EUR. Add 20 EUR for 2GB memory. Maybe Pasha has the other components (harddrive, psu, case, keyboard, mouse) then this would be ~140 EUR (not including shipping cost..if this is required) we are talking about. Maybe it's even cheaper in Pasha's country (don't know). There are several users with AMD chipsets so it should be possible to sponsor it...if this would help to fix the problems. This is not the right place to discuss it but maybe this can be taken to the Trac Wiki, eComStation.com or the os2world.com forums.

It does work without /SMP, it even works with /SMP but then only when using ALT-F4 on the bootblob and hitting return for about 70 times. In both cases only one core does actually work though. I was hoping that the ALT-F4 trick together with the logs would help in finding a solution, sepcially since now you really get far enough to even collect the logs. On the newsgroups it was even requested to file bug reports so there were more then 2 "patients" to work from, hence this bug report.

Ok, it seems I should try the latest version as well. I don't follow the newsgroup.
