Description
Hi! I've switched my second computer to one based on the Gigabyte GA-MA78G-S2H (Rev. 1.1) motherboard which uses the AMD 780G chipset with integrated graphics (which works fine incl. HDMI output) with the Panorama VESA driver. CPU is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4850e. 2GB RAM (1x 1GB Corsair XMS2 PC6400 CL4).
I restarted ACPI tests again with eCS 2.0 RC6a (ACPI v3.14). The computer boots with the "/!NOD" parameter but then of course only one of the two cores is activated. When I try to boot with "/SMP /!NOD" the machine hangs right after PMSHELL switches to the graphic mode (mouse pointer is visable in the middle of the screen).
I tried to disable USB (BIOS) and removing the drivers from the CONFIG.SYS as some other guy could make it work on another AMD chipset based computer. This didn't work for me.
I'll attach files with a successfull boot (/!NOD) and serial port debug files using the SMP Debug kernel 14.104a and debug ACPI.PSD builds with other parameters.
