Description

Hi/2 I'am using this NAS with a 1TB HD installed in my LAN:

It has builtin SMB and FTP server.

Software is registered Netdrive 3.1.1 with Samba client plugin.
Last tested plugin is: ​ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/incoming/ndpsmb-1.5beta2-3.0.35-20090709.zip
The error occours also with different earlier client versions found at netlabs.

Also with ECS 1.2R, RC5 and RC6a

Using evfs.ifs V1.001 and evfsgui V1.1 produces the same result.

The content of mounted NAS directory is displayed totally wrong.

The attached images shows to ex. FC/2. Left side the right content mounted via Netdrive FTP plugin. Right side mounted via Samba plugin or evfs(gui).

Using the NAS SMB with XP and Ubuntu works fine without installing any drivers.

I have the suspicion that what you see is a Ticket #68 like problem. Please check on which codepage your NAS is running. You can do that by doing the following:

  1. change into a shell
  1. run testparm -v >allsmb.conf
  1. look into allsmb.conf and tell us what the values for

unix charset =
display charset =
dos charset =

are.

In addition you might try ​http://msplins06.bon.at/%7Eadmin139/files/ndpsmb-1.5beta4-3.0.37-20091006-test.zip which has Ticket #68 fixed.

Hallo Herwig,

mein NAS läuft mit CP1250. Leider ist CP850 dort nicht einstellbar.

Beim PC stehen alle 3 charsets auf 850.

Die Beta 4 bringt auch keine Verbesserung.
Nach wie vor wirre Anzeige des Inhalts.
Anzeige vom gesamten und freien Speicherplatz stimmt wie immer.

Komisch ist ja auch, (siehe fc2.gif) das 'public' überhaupt
angezeigt wird. Denn das ist ja die gemountete Ressource.

Der PC braucht beim Starten auch deutlich länger wenn das NAS per SMB gemounted ist. Per ftp plugin gibt es keine Verzögerung.

Bitte mal feststellen, welche Samba Version auf dem NAS läuft, würde uns helfen.

beim Hersteller konnte ich leider nichts in Erfahrung bringen.

Zitat:

Deshalb kann ich ihnen hier leider keine weiteren Infos geben.

Wird die Version eventuell in irgendwelchen logs auf dem PC protokolliert?

not possible to reproduce as no such hw available localy.

eventually new upcoming 2.0.1 cures it.
