Error log attached.
Changed the USB stack (Lars' 208 build), and I now get a usable printer name coming back to allow me to not only find new printers but to install.
Installed new USB-connected HP Color LaserJet 3800 using HPIJS.
When sending test page to printer, error_log returns:

foomatic test page also attached. So, we are getting the test data generated, but sending is a problem (as the log indicates).

could you eventually try all tests with the socket backend first? Just to see if it's a general issue or a usb issue. I can't test USB atm, as I have no USB attached printer here.

Assuming libusb is also in play here by usb.exe? My build or an rpm of it?

However, the problem rpeorted in #143 persists (regardless which backend is in use, USB or socket).
