Description

I tried KRUT, a java-based screen recorder with openjkd6 and it opens fine, but is waiting for something... and never come in function. Image of cmd-window (and java-windows) attached. Is it possible to make this work?

Summary: Is it possible to make KRUT (screenrecorder) work?Update com.sun.image.codec.jpeg package to make KRUT work

Most likely, this is a problem of the OpenJDK's surrogate implementation of the com.sun.image.codec.jpeg Sun's proprietary package, see http://svn.netlabs.org/java/ticket/60. Not OS/2 specific, the latest OpenJDK on Linux behaves exactly the same. As long as it's fixed upstream, it will work in OS/2 as well I believe.

Leaving the bug open as a reminder to check the upstream implementation one day.

I can confirm that with the new (GA5_b27) java and Odin 0.8.9 Krut starts and 'works' as well as it can (no sound recording though...).

Thanks! Sound recording is a completely different issue. Not implemented in Odin, to be short.
