Description

Hello, I have an HP2100, which has a parallel port. I'm using a parallel-to-USB cable to connect the printer. I've installed CUPS (cups-base-1_4_8_3.wpi, ghostscript-8_7_1.wpi, hplip-3_12_10a.wpi and ecupshp-pdr-20100304.wpi), but I cannot get it to print. The printer shows up as "usb://Unknown/(null)". Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you.,

I don't know if the USB backend was ever tested with USB-to-parallel adapters.

Please be more specific. "I cannot get it to print" is not very informative. What happens when you try?

Sorry, let's close out this ticket, as I cannot replicate what I did. I deleted the printer and attempted to recreate it (Add Printer). However, now CUPS does not recognize (does not see) the USB connection, even though UBSDock does.
