now I installed ACPI 3.10 on my X31 with eCS20rc5 and tested s/r.

With the new version of ACPI it does not trap anymore, it even begins to suspend (network-ping stops, screen switches off, short beep, the "moon" goes on very short (less than 1/2 sec) but after at about 4 sec I get an other beep, the screen comes up and the ping goes on with some packet loss.

Thorolf adds:

On my X31 power off now works with eCS20rc5 and ACPI 3.10, but suspend/resume does not and the backlit of the display does not power off after some time like it always worked with MCP2r and eCS 1.2r
