ACPI 3.11

diver: i just tryed suspend again from power object. but it again did hang the system

last time i tryed was from FS and it worked. so it looks still not 100% ok

i'm testing s/r, suspend in fullscreen worked this time. but resume trapped trap 0008

e-co: did you disabled misc drivers?

the same config worked with an older version. some pre-3.10, and since then none worked 100%, either trap or suspend hangs

i sent pasha a e-mail with a acpica.log from closing LID. this is not working, but a minor problem

diver is testing special build of ACPI, from 9.10.2008

comment:7 by diver, 16 years ago

with newest testversion from 22.10.2008 the LID works now. but the system did not resume. i tested it 2 times to be sure. when i press the power button the disk symbol flashes very short and the cpu fan begins to work. but thats all i see.

Suspend don't support in IBM kernel

comment:10 by ecsnl, 16 years ago

Dear customer,

A short reply. This is still in research and the statement "suspend don't possible in IBM kernel" is meant its currently not supported.

Best regards,

Roderick Klein Mensys

Milestone: Feedback pendingRelease version 3.17

i will do a new test as soon as 3.17 is out. with 3.16 it might work, but USB drivers have to be remarked according to Roderick. and w/o USB i can't use the system.

Version: 3.103.19

just as a remark, with latest acpi suspend works, but resume doesn't. the system just doesn't come up fully. any logs needed?

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

I just did a short test and it seems to work. At least network and usb worked again after resume.

So i close that ticket now.

Thanks
