This a ThinkCentre A57 with a Core2Duo. Power off used to work a year ago, but stopped with later revisions of pre-ACPI 3.19.02. Power Off also does not work with ACPI 3.19.11/14/15. I tried:
I did some more testing and found out that in SMP mode (2 CPUs on) if I turn off the second CPU using CPU/2 utility from Roman Stangl before shutdown, the machine is properly powered down. Note: Also power management does not work with this machine (will be a separate Ticket). |

I'm working with an single board computer in a passive backplane industrial computer. Intel 945C-based system. Works without ACPI, but does not power off. Works with ACPI 3.18, but does not power off and did not attempt /SMP. CPU is single core hyperthreading CPU. ACPI 3.19.15 booted OK first time, but no power off. Second time, I got the situation (which every version of ACPI has always done occasionally on every machine I've ever tried.) with high CPU use. I didn't try this time, but CPUSPEED usually will show both CPU running at radically different speeds. I tried to power off, and I got trap E. See attachment for register dump screen. |

version 3.19.15 02102012 Config.sys stops on next run= statement after acpidaemon.exe is loaded. (using Alt-F5) Device boots with PSD in place and no daemon loading. Same behavior with SNAP or Panorama. ACPIAWARD BIOS I9 device. When booted with just PSD, No thermal or ACPI shutdown working. battery meter is working? Hannspree Hannsbook Ultrabook laptop.
