Description
Example: Playing a playlist with z!: The next track is always silent until I touch volume control. Workaround is to keep a mixer (lbmix) open all the time.
The bug is not related to z! other apps behave the same.
New bug with 1.1.4RC5, RC4 did not have this bug.

Version: | 1.1.4RC5 → 1.1.4RC6 |

With RC6 play.cmd FILE="\MMOS2\SOUNDS\wm_tell.wav" doesn't make sound at all. Not with play.cmd, not with 'dplay wm_tell.wav' Also system-sounds in general do not work with RC6.
Playing mp3 files with z! makes sound, but with the same problems as RC5.
The build from Paul (1.9.3) doesn't have these problems, not with uniaud16.sys from RC5, not with uniaud16.sys form RC6.
So it might be not related to uniaud16.sys

Summary: | volume get's muted after playing sound → On Intel ICH3 AC'97 (8086:2485) volume is muted after playing sound |
Version: | 1.1.4RC6 → 1.1.4RC5 |
I changed the version back to RC5 in this case just to clarify when this bug started. The test with RC6 is useful information, as is the test with Paul's builds.
Just to be sure, if you are willing, please test with Uniaud16 1.1.4RC6 and Uniaud32 1.1.4RC4. I only need a report of the behavior, no log. Then I can work from there.

Can you please try with the latest v1.9.12 build from http://svn.netlabs.org/uniaud

Please try with a modern version of Uniaud from http://svn.netlabs.org/uniaud and reopen the ticket if the problem persists
Are you saying, that playing the same file twice ex:
play.cmd FILE="J:\MMOS2\SOUNDS\wm_tell.wav"
will make no sound on the second one ?
If so, grab the debug build from netlabs, and send us UniInfo after playing this twice.
