Allow multiple rows in XCenter

I typically have a very busy desktop and the XCenter gets very crowded. I would like the option to have a multiple-row Xcenter, with the widgets in a single row and the open windows distributed among the rows. Double deck would be adequate for my current needs, if a general option is more difficult.
