Description
This is a machine with Intel H55 chipset, and it has only two ECHI adapters, no UCHI or OCHI. So I put two instances of USBECHD.SYS in config.sys.
Result: sometimes the front USB ports work, sometimes the rear USB ports work. USBHCD version 10.186. Once working, system performs well, and no traps or problems are observed.
Sometimes with KVM a keyboard/mouse that was working won't work when I switch back to the computer. Sometimes switching from front to rear USB ports fixes this, sometimes not.
I will add files as described in the readme when I get a chance. Leave a note if you'd like any more information.
I was going to add files, but now I see that USBHCD version 10.187 appears to fix the problem. Because the bug was intermittent, I am not completely sure, but I have not had one case of a USB port not working since installing 10.187.
