Description
Card will be detected at boot. Audiosubsystem works, to ex. PM123 runs normally. I cannot set anything with unimix. Enabling systemsounds is possible without problems.
But still no sound output like in RC3.

Replying to yoda:

No, can hear nothing, but all apps that use the audio system are working
Enabling systemsounds is possible without problems.
System sound play normally ?
System has no hangs if system sounds are on, but no output of them.
But still no sound output like in RC3.
So, what are you missing ?

I think something is wrong with the mixer functions. Volume 0, power state 0 If I try to set anything with unimix the result is always 0. card.log says:
Card info:
num: 0
id: CA0106
driver: CA0106
name: CA0106
longname: Live! 7.1 24bit [SB0410] at 0xe000 irq 12

I think the mixer is not detected, not enabled, offline (?)

Please test the new uniaud 1.1.4 RC5, which should have fixes for SB Live.

Summary: | SB Live! 7.1 24bit [SB0410] no sound → SB Audigy LS (1102:0007) no sound |
Version: | 1.1.4 → 1.1.4RC4 |
I am confused by the phrase "still no sound output like in RC3." This could mean that, like RC3, RC4 has no sound output with this hardware; or it could mean that it does not have sound output like that which is heard in RC3.
If RC3 had sound, this is a regression, so we should fix it in 1.1.4GA. If not, we need to move it to the "ALSA Hardware Compatibility" milestone.
Unfortunately, this is not the same model of SB Audigy I have, so I can't test.
Changed priority to low because the reporter has not responded in 6 months.

Duplicate of ticket:63.
According to it, RC3 was also silent.
