No sound from Uniaud 14RC7, Yamaha YMF754

yes, all 1.9.x versions don't detect my card. 1.1.4 rc7 detects it successfully. PM123 starts playing, analyzer shows bars :), but I no hear any sound :(

I need a log from 1.9.16 in order to try and debug why the 1.9.x builds don't detect the hardware.

1.9.16 detects ati radeon integrated hdmi audio (as I understand):

HDA ATI HDMI at 0xdftec000 irg 11
Detected Mixer: ATI R6xx HDMI

After that the system hangs for one minute. After that the iniaud16 starts. After that the system hangs for one minute again. And, finally, boot process is continued.

Using /C:YAMAHA don't help. Enabling/disabling a motherboard integrated audio also don't change anything.

For 1.9.x - ALSA updates now mean that firmware files are required - see ​http://linux.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/Debian/2007-12/msg01931.html for details....

The necessary firmware files are in ​http://smedley.info/ymfpci.zip

Default location on linux is /lib/firmware/ymfpci/*.fw - I would try that path - or /mmos2/ymfpci/*.fw

Is this still a problem? Please try the newest BETA build and if the problem still exists, change the version of this ticket to 2.0 or close the ticket if the problem is fixed.

Unfortunately, because of too long problems with uniadio I have replaced the yamaha with the sound blaster card. If here no more owners of yamaha cards this ticket can be closed.
