At Warpstock 2008 Daniela Engbert (and somebody of who I forgot the name) mentioned that there new system has an onboard HDA audiochipset and on there video card. The problem was that the HDA chipset on the video card was detected and used. Its basically the same problem as with loading 2 the same NIC drivers under OS/2. In MPTS you can specify the BUS number. Could something like a command line switch in the config.sys be introduced to support this ? So no log files, rather en enhancement :-) |

When skipping through video being played with mplayer using either the keyboard shortcuts (ie page up/page down; up/down arrow) the system will often hang, such that only a power off will resolve the problem. I have purchased (with assistance from Mensys) a dock for my T60 to provide a serial port that can be used to try and debug this problem |

I have a new Audio card from ASUS. It's a Xonar D1 PCI. It has been reported to function under UNIX using the ALSA drivers so I thought I would see if it could possibly be an acceptable Audio Card for eCS. However I am having trouble getting the UniAud?-debug version to function with eCS 2.0 rc6a. EcomStation? boots but 22 seconds after the desktop shows itself I get a Trap 0008 error. |
