Description

Hello,

I' using apache 2.2.10 and samba 3.0.28a. Apache runs perfectly and serves a little CMS with mysql/php. The squid cachmgr cgi is worling too. But if I try to load swat I get an "500 Internal Server Error"!

I configured apache by following the 'cookbook'.

Apache error log: [Sat Nov 08 18:51:01 2008] [error] [client 10.1.1.17] (OS 87)The parameter is incorrect. : couldn't set child process attributes: D:/apache2/cgi-bin/samba/swat.exe

[Sat Nov 08 18:51:01 2008] [error] [client 10.1.1.17] (OS 87)The parameter is incorrect. : couldn't spawn child process: D:/apache2/cgi-bin/samba/swat.exe

Ok, I did some testing. I'm back at apache 2.2.9. Now the error is:

[Sat Nov 08 19:16:31 2008] [error] [client 10.1.1.17] malformed header from script. Bad header=HTTP/1.0 500 Server Error: swat.exe

Jirka, to be honest Swat does not work as it should anyway. It can't start and stop the deamons. But it's possible to configure the smbd.conf. are you sure you followed the cookbook exactly? did you get a login screen at all?

could you provide the apache.conf?

do you have a swat dir in E:/WebServer/Internet/cgi-bin/samba with files from x:/samba/swat? if not you can either copy the dir x:/samba/swat to E:/WebServer/Internet/cgi-bin/samba or add a Alias /swat/ "x:/samba/swat/" in apache conf file.

Replying to diver:

Sorry, but there is no x:/samba/swat directory. There is only a swat.exe in x:/samba, which I copied to E:/WebServer/Internet/cgi-bin/samba.

Apache error log says Malformed header from script.

then it's clear it's not going to work. swat does not find it's header and footer. i need to look at the distribution if we included the swat dir. if not we will add them in the next wpi. btw swat is now able to start and end all samba exe in my development tree, so stay tuned.

the needed swat files are not in the distribution right now. it will be in the next drop. if swat is not working then, please open a new ticket.
