In order to fix this problem, we need the following things:

1.) A level 10 log from the Samba client library (log.smbc) and the Plugin log (log.ndpsmb)
2.) We need to know which Samba (if any runs on the fritzbox) - in addition a level 10 log from the internal server would be required.

Otherwise there is nothing we can do about it, as we have no fritzbox at hand.

I have no idea which Samba (if any) runs on the fritzbox.

I have this model/firmware: FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7270 v2 (UI) Firmware-Version 54.05.05

the logs where created when trying to copy ndpsmb-2_2_0-beta1-20110901.zip to a temp directory on a usb-drive attached to the fritzbox.

Another info: copy small files to the server works.

I don't know the exact limit, but a file with 36665 bytes can be copied, a file with 36947 bytes not.

In order to find out what is running on the fritzbox try the following:

  1. Run EVFSGUI -ndfs (in case you have both EVFS and Netdrive installed)
  2. Make sure the network neighbourhood is populated.
  3. Right-click on the fritzbox server icon.
  4. Choose "Information". What does it tell you?

Doesn't work, the network neighbourhood (Netzwerkumgebung) remains empty.

Ok, I have the very same problem with a Samba 3.0.14a running on my Samsung Galaxy S.
