wins support = yes makes nmbd.exe crash

Description
If "wins support = yes" is enabled in smb.conf nmbd.exe crashes 3 minutes after starting it.
This behaviour has been observed in all builds since 3.0.25pre2. 3.0.25pre1 did not show this problem.
The problem seems to be related to this log entry:
[2007/05/10 09:28:30, 0] lib/util_tdb.c:tdb_log(662)
tdb(D:/samba/var/locks/wins.tdb): tdb_reopen: failed to obtain active lock
