Video showing color errors with 16 bit color depth using Flash

This is a known issue, documented in the readme:

  • Using SMP:

When running a system with the SMP kernel and having the /SMP switch defined on the PSD=ACPI.PSD in your config.sys, this might result in rendering problems with the Panorama video driver, like:

  • some text in Flash content might not be displayed correctly
  • Flash video playback when running in 64k colour mode will have strange colour patterns rendered. Switching to 16 million colours for the screen display fixes this problem
  • general stability is worse than when running in non-SMP mode

Milestone: 0.8.3general enhancement

Given that there is an easy workaround (and that the 16-bit color depth is kind of useless anyway), we are not going to work on this defect now.
