Lucide 1.21, "italic" instead of "normal"

Description

Version 1.21 shows italic font instead of normal font in some cases (1.20 worked correctly). Maybe this error is in conjunction with not-embedded fonts?!

This is also reported in ecs ticket #2631:

"I have several files which show this problem. 1.21 renders the attached file in italicized fonts while 1.20 and Acrobat does not. Plus in 1.21, the math symbol "Sum" is missing."

Indeed, I am seeing this too, with some pdfs generated by GhostScript? (not all, however). I can provide some example ps files, if that would be helpful.
