#16 wontfix CUPS spools slowly bart REXX
Description

Print jobs are painfully slow to complete. Each page takes maybe 1 minute to output. The printer light blinks for a long time, finally a page comes out. I have CUPS successfully installed on an HP LaserJet? P2035 and an Epson Workforce 645. Both installations are slow. I installed "cups-base-1_4_8_3.wps", "ecups-pdr-20090324.wpi", "ecupshp-pdr-20100304.wpi" and "ghostscript-8_7_1.wpi"

Can anything be done about this?

#17 fixed Cannot import Epson Workforce 645 PPD bart REXX
Description

I am trying to import a *.PPD file for an Epson Workforce 645 into the ECups.drv driver. I am using the "Add Printer Drivers" tool (InstPDR.EXE, newest from Memsys BetaZone?) and a "cleaned" *.PPD file from the printer installation, using the CUPS web interface. I removed the various language dependent features (*cs, *da, for example) from the *.PPD. Attempts to import it fail with an exception error.

Can you help me with this problem? Attached please find the cleaned *.PPD file and the PDINST* files. Thank you.

#13 fixed Cups 1.4.8 cannot print 4x6 photo from PMView on Canon IP4000 bart MatNieuw
Description

When printing a 4x6 photo from PMView, the print never leaves the OS/2 printing subsystem, its job status is "Forms Mismatch". The form name is there reported as "w288h432/4x6".
Setup details:
Cups settings via browser: Cups 1.4.8, printer name "CupsPhoto?", driver printer "Canon PIXMA iP4000 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.9 (color, 2-sided printing)", media=oe_w228h432_4x6in
Printer settings in OS/2: driver "Canon PIXMA IP4000", job properties: paper 4x6, output port localhost:CupsPhoto[[BR]]

This was working properly before (Cups 1.4.6), I suspect it might have to do with the printer definition in Gutenprint; old versions of Gutenprint had a seperate file for each printer, now the definitions are generated as needed . Note that the "media" type in Cups is not literally the same as the form name in OS/2.
