Description
This is a copy & paste from the eCS bugtracker and it sounds much like ACPI ticket 37:
IBM T40, with RC1 installed. If plugged into the docking station, it traps on boot. Trap is as below:
Exception in module: TRAP 0008 RERCD=000 ERACC=* ERLIM=* EAX=ffdeb5ac EBX=00000058 ECX=00000000 EDX=ffdeb5ac CS:EIP=0168:ff1b07a CSACC=c09b CSLIM=fffffff SS:ESP=0030:0001bda8 SSACC=1097 SSLIM=00003fff DS=0160 DSACC=c093 DSLIM=fffffff CR0=8001001b FS=0108 FSACC=0093 FSLIM=000000c5f GS=0000 GSACC= GSLIM=
The system detected an internal processing error at location #0168:fff1da1f - 000e:ca1f.

Could only be cleared by removing ACPI, but this is NOT an option with a laptop!

Sorry to be slow responding. I've installed the latest ACPI from the beta zone. The machine now boots when docked and runs correctly.
Two items - the initial stage of the boot is _very_ slow - the splash screen comes up and sits for over thirty seconds before the boot proceeds (not the case when the machine is not docked). Secondly, the machine will not shut down with the new ACPI version installed. Normal shutdown starts, but the machine is left with nothing on screen, but the backlight still on and the machine still powered up. Using the power switch is the only way to complete the shutdown.

with slow boot, place to boot drive \AltF2On.$$$ and look what is slow driver
with shutdown, if PowerOff.exe work - it is't acpi provlem. Ask to developer of eCenter.

OK, your notebook is usable now. Please re-open ticket, always attach logs. Use ACPI logs collector package to collect all info.
Do you have attached USB devices?
try with acpi.psd 3.3 and reopen ticket if have problem
