Description
I have a Thinkpad T40 with eCS 2.0RC1 installed. When I installed it (with ACPI 2.22 IIRC) I had sound working well with the latest (at the time) uniaud drivers (it was rc2 with an updated component by Paul Smedley). I have updated ACPI to 3.01 and then to 3.02, and I have no sound anymore. Is this a known problem? What can I do to correct it (besides downgrading ACPI)? I still have uniaud rc2; maybe updating to RC3 could solve the problem?

Hi, I have added /EIS /VBE on the ACPI.PSD line in config.sys. I have also added the two LINK directives. In the meantime I also upgraded to UNIAUD 114RC4. Now I have my sound back, but I don't know it it's due to the new UNIAUD release or the new ACPI configuration. BUT I am in doubt: it seems that now ACPI isn't loaded! I am uploading my ACPIx.LOG files, taken at various times, with varying options and ACPI release numbers. I am also uploading a screenshot showing why I think ACPI is not enabled anymore.

Check acpi present by "copy acpica$ acpi.log". If acpi.log has non zero length - acpi is loaded. Acpi working you can detect over UpTime.exe.

btw, how did you upgraded 2.x to 3.x?
did you removed acpi snooper, acpica.add, etc?
