T60 hangs at desktop startup with /APIC & ACPI 3.16

Description

ACPI 3.16 appears to work fine with the parameter /SMP - ie running in PIC mode.

I thought I'd try /APIC. With this switch, the desktop booted up, the startup sound played, but the mouse pointer wouldn't move, and the clock stopped.

Reverting to PIC mode and all is OK

sound plays, desktop comes up, then a few seconds later the ecenter clock stops and the system is hung

<Smedles> hmmm wonder about amouse SMP option <Smedles> will check that now <Smedles> [Pasha]: problem solved - SMP

parameter needed for amouse in /APIC mode
