Many users (and me) need an utility which *detects the features of CPU/motherboard*, does the PC support throttling? Does it support Speedstep? Does it support Cool'n'quite? This ticket doesn't discuss Speedstep/PowerNow? drivers.

If implement such utility then users will see the list of features by themselves and don't overload the support service.

One more time, to support users we need:

1) ACPI battery which supports two or more batteries

2) Utility which informs the user, does he have PowerNow/Cool?'n'Quite?

This ticket is extremely old and refers to an obsolete, unsupported version. The current version already includes an acpistat utility which already provides the desired information. Have you tried the current version?
