Shutdown, eComStation 2.0 RC6a

Description
ACPI /APM cannot shut down the machine. APM dims the display and hangs. ACPI freezes at "Releasing Filesystems".
Doug Bissett:
That can be caused by having the animation option selected: Right click on a blank spot on the desktop-> Properties-> eShutdown tab, and click OFF both Animation before shutdown, and before reboot. This problem was reported when RC5 appeared, I am amazed that they not only did not turn that off for shut down, by default, but now they have turned it on for reboot. I think that most users would prefer to not hang at releasing file systems, and they really don't care about watching a movie where the screen appears to be an old style CRT, with the fields collapsing.

Disabling both animation options and selecting ACPI level 3.14, and now my ThinkPad R61 powers off. (During shut down it gives 3 identical beeps plus one slightly different and then power off, guess this is normal (?))

Do you try PowerOff.exe ?
