I just want to inform you, that the following computer are working with version 20081002, but not with 20081112 (startup hangs before desktop starts with always repeating status-message [black screen with white font]):

I have installed the latest ACPI and it works (so far) really fine.
FujitsuSiemens? FSC Esprimo P5916
There are two logs: One with "/SMP /PIC" and one with "/SMP /APIC" parameter in config.sys.

PS: I will also test it on a notebook FujitsuSiemens? FSC Amilo Xa 3530 when it comes back from revision.

Thank you for report, let's wait for update of ACPI.
There are troubles with Thinkpads.. so.. maybe your notebooks will work too with new version.
