Problems activating SMP

Component: | ACPI PSD | Version: | 3.09 |

Description
Motherboard: Asrock - AM2NF3-VSTA OS: eCS 2.0 rc5
USBEHCD.SYS has to be after 2x USBOHCD.SYS in config.sys or otherwise it does not boot with /SMP /APIC (/TMR /CD) switch. I think it hangs at usbresmg.sys.
This does not work with ACPI 3.10. I have not found out how to boot with 3.10 and SMP yet.

Hello eco, it is working fine, but not out of the box. I have to change the order of usb drivers first with version 3.9 and earlier. With 3.10 it was not possible to boot with smp yet.
best regards
Johannes

OK, updated FAQ:
9) If APIC mode
if eCS doesn't boot anymore then
- Detach all USB devices.
- If using Bootable JFS, then boot from bootable eCS 2.0 CD and chkdsk x: /f
if USB doesn't work then
- try boot with /CD switch.
- try boot UHCD controllers drivers first, then EHCD drivers. or USBOHCD.SYS then USBEHCD.SYS
- try disable UHCD or EHCD drivers
e-co:
boot with 1 CPU, grab acpi log, attach it to the ticket
hmm.. the motherboard was working fine with ACPI 3.7
