Description

From: Peter Brown

I have applied the above package to an eCS1.2R system with acpi v3.08 already installed.

When rebooting instead of the "normal" display showing drivers loading - I use ALTF2ON.$$$ to see what drivers are loading - and CHKDSK running I get lots of lines that say:

PSD_IRQ_REG Proc0 F:ISR D:8004

As I spotted the occasional line about CHKDSK in the output I let the boot continue to see what happened.

After a short period of time the output on screen showed drivers loading along with a few lines that are ACPI related but went past too fast to be read.

Looks like the above PSD_IRQ line overwrites nearly all the CHKDSK output which is not helpful if you are rebooting from a system crash - you do not get to see if CHKDSK throws any damaged files away, especially if using BootableJFS.

The final few lines of output before the Desktop starts look something like this:

Event tread

APM: Setting suspend state: 1 Button KernBlock? 4294967295

System gets to the Desktop and seems reasonably stable in use.

Hardware involved: Asus M2N, Nforce430 chipset
