Description

ASUS M2N-E motherboard, AD1988 sound device

The latest 32 bit Uniaud hda 1.0.16 driver is not loaded. It complains about not being able to find the hardware. Previously, the driver would load but the device wasn't initialized properly. Only the first sound would play, the second would hang the system.

e-co:

1) eComStation doesn't support HDAudio AD1988. The only supported model: Intel HDAudio CODEC (mixer: Realtek ALC880) -- http://ecomstation.ru/hardware.php?action=item&id=799 We recommend to disable HDAudio because it causes hangs.

2) What happens if you disable ACPI.PSD? Uniaud reports the same problem? It is related to ACPI.PSD?

Sorry, forget it. This was related to a problem with the specific driver version.

OK, please press the developers of Uniaud. And remind them thatg they should use ACPI, support APM. Pasha have passed all examples.
