Which sound codec do you have? HDAudio? You can see the model number and name when booting the system, UNIAUD messages. (or use unimix.exe -card)

System IRQ 16, INT# A
I'm surprised it works at all for you on IRQ 16. Try remapping 16 to a low IRQ (such as 5) and reserve IRQ 5 in the BIOS so it's not shared. That's what I had to do.

OK, all users have troubles with Sb live..
Let's forward this problem to uniaud team. ACPI works perfectly with other audio adapters in APIC mode.
Info for other users: HDAudio family doesn't work properly in eCS. SBlive doesn't work in SMP APIC mode.

OK, now I see that SBlive + ACPI 3.03 works fine.
1) Can you test 3.04?
2) Please download experimental ACPI build from Mensys site:
- Experimental build for you:
acpi31012008.zip
- Read instructions: http://ecomstation.ru/projects/acpitools/?action=testcase

- SBLive, driver (0.81), SMP APIC you can boot but sound plays in loop. To stop the sound loop open the Sound window (Sound object).
