#432 unknown 20090624 and nForce430 chipset report eco losepete
Description

Installed files, changed config.sys line to

PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP /APIC

and rebooted.

Boot failed almost immediately stopping at the "Loading USBEHCD.SYS" and then displaying a TRAP 000d.

I edited CONFIG.SYS and removed all USB drivers.

Reboot failed when loading uniaud32.sys so I edited CONFIG.SYS and removed uniaud drivers.

System could then boot to a working Desktop; Log files created and attached as 20090624_acpi-log-Model-of-your-PC.ziq.

Use of tmrtest.exe reveals the necessity for the /TMR switch; as I also want audio and USB support I changed the CONFIG.SYS line to

PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP /CD /TMR /APIC /!NOD

and rebooted - *UNsuccessfully*

The system stopped with

L:\ECS\BOOT\USBRESMG.SYS

as the last item processed and a message appeared further up the screen:

"System detected an internal processing error..."

I have reverted to using v3.14

#521 fixed 3.19.13 crashes eco David McKenna
Description

Hardware: MSI H55M-E33 motherboard: Intel H55 chipset, Intel i3 CPU with integrated video, 2GB RAM, SATA II AHCI 300GB hard drive - 1 partition (JFS), SATA DVD-ROM, PS/2 mouse and keyboard, 1 serial port, 1 parallel port, 2 EHCD USB controllers, Realtek 8111C NIC, Intel ICH10 HDA audio. This hardware works well with eCS 2.1GA and ACPI 3.18 in APIC mode. I also used 3.19.03 which worked even better (fast).

Installed ACPI 3.19.13 using the WPI from the Mensys Betazone site. Install went smoothly. When I rebooted, the eCS logo appeared for a split second, then crashed. Same with /VW switch. I will attach an image of the crash screen.

I installed the debug versions of all files, then captured a COM Port log using /DBGLVL=3. I will also attach that.

#522 duplicate 3.19.14 + Gateway 7405 Notebook eco David McKenna
Description

This combo will only boot with ACPI.PSD /PIC (eCS 2.1). Once booted, USB and Wireless don't work, and the desktop startup sound keeps repeating. I installed the debug version and captured logs.

This notebook works well in /APIC mode with 3.18. It will only work in /PIC mode if I add:

LINK LNKA 9

LINK LNKB 11

LINK LNKC 11

LINK LNKD 9

to ACPI.CFG.

3.19.03 also works with this ACPI.CFG file (no /APIC mode available with that).
