#531 fixed System frezes at PM startup David Azarewicz rbri
Description

After switching from 3.19.14 to 3.19.15 the trap from #524 is gone. Thanks for fixing. But now the system stops at PM startup. I can see the desktop background (but not the desktop background image) and the mouse wait cursor. Nothing more happens, no chance to move the mouse.

When setting back the /MAXCPU=1 the system starts without problems. I did the warpin install, so i think i have all updated dll's in place.

Thanks for the support

#530 fixed SLPB problem - Daemon trouble David Azarewicz David McKenna
Description

Hardware: MSI H55M-E33 board, Intel H55 chipset, Intel i3 CPU, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB Drive, 1 JFS partition, ICH10-AHCI, Integrated Video, Realtek 8111C NIC, Intel HDA sound.

Software: eCS 2.1, Panorama, OS2AHCI-JFS, UniAud?, Multimac Realtek, ACPI 3.19.15.

Installed new ACPI while booted with 3.19.14 with no trouble. After, boot stopped at blank screen with blinking cursor right before WPS would start. Tried no switch and /VW with same result. With /PIC, computer would suspend at the same spot, but would not resume. CAD does not work. Booting to command line would work, but keyboard is unresponsive and can't type anything.

Booted with CD, REMmed out APM and ACPIDaemon and no switch on ACPI. Computer boots fine. Added APM back in, still boots fine. Added ACPIDaemon and no boot. I tried starting the Daemon after booting with ACPI and APM and the computer immediately suspends, but won't resume.

Not sure how to trouble-shoot this, but I'll try anything you like...

#529 unknown ACPI version 3.19.14 showstopper? David Azarewicz thomabrown
Description

I am running eCS 2.0 GA on a Tyan S2895 Thunder K8WE motherboard with 2 x AMD Opteron 275 CPUs. The system runs fairly well (some Seamonkey issues) without ACPI.PSD (remmed out of config.sys).

With acpi.psd, apm.add, and ACPIDAEMON.EXE, it hangs during the desktop initialization. I don't have the capability to debug via a serial port at the moment.

The README states:

Your system must have valid ACPI tables...

But,

PCI.EXE shows this at the end of it's report:

ROM PCI IRQ routing table Tests....

ROM IRQ routing table found at F000h:DDF0h Table Version 1.0 - OK Table size 0 bytes - Invalid Size! IRQ's dedicated to PCI : None The ROM PCI IRQ routing table appears to be faulty!!

Also, ScanPCI ends with:

PCI Bus scan: 3 PCI buses found. Sorting by routers:

Router: Current IRQ: 0 Possible IRQ: End Scan

Are these showstoppers for ACPI? If so, I will quit trying to test until I get a motherboard that is compatible.

Thanks!
