#430 | Unsupported Version | ACPI 3.16 kills USB mouse and keyboard.
Description |
With 3.16, mouse and keyboard after a while (both USB connected) die. Unplugging and reinserting them changes nothing. "After a while" is variable between a few seconds and half an hour. When USB dies, system is still alive (applications work, clock runs) but I can only press the Reset button to restart... |

#443 | Unsupported Version | ACPI 3.17 causes TRAP 000c
Description |
I have recently aquired an IBM Thinkpad T43 (1871-W8M). After resolving a couple of issues where throttling and speed setting didn't work with 3.14 (fixed in 3.16), I tried 3.17 from ACPI317-2008-08-24.ZIP. I am getting a TRAP 000c on boot, at about the time that ACPI should be loading. Photo T43ACPItrap.jpg. |

#447 | unknown | ACPI 3.17, degradation, Thinkpad T43
Description |
From: Doug Bissett source: http://news.ecomstation.nl/article.php?id=3006&group=ecomstation.beta#3006 However, when I tried it on my IBM Thinkpad T43 (1871-W8M), it made it through the install okay, but the phase 3 boot crashed when ACPI 3.17 tried to load. I had tried the 3.17 version previously (ACPI317-2008-08-24.ZIP), and had the same problem (reported). That one also crashed when I tried it on my desktop (also reported), but I haven't had time to try Silver on the desktop, yet. When I replaced ACPI 3.17 with ACPI 3.16, on the T43, I got the thing booted, and it seems to be working as well as RC6a did, with ACPI 3.16 (which isn't perfect). |
