Description
ThinkPad T61 Intel HDA AD1984 codec Firefox 3.0 SeaMonkey 1.1.11 Flash 7.0.14 patched to report as 9.0.115
Playback of Flash content (tested from YouTube) results in audio & video stall at 2 sec mark. background cache continues. Rewinding video to beginning results in stop at the same 2 sec location. This is consistent with this codec.

In all cases, the audio stream just begins, then stops. The video then stops at 2 secs. So, the audio stops first, then the video playback. Refreshing/reloading the page has no effect. Sometimes, a browser restart will allow the clip to play.

This seems to be fixed in 1.9.12, Paul, though I did have trouble getting the system running in APIC mode (not sure if it had anything to do with the audio hardware). In PIC mode, I was able to play several videos, and even tried jogging the slider back and forth to see if I could get the system to hang or go silent. No clicks, pops, or other distortions, and the video playback was smooth and in sync with the audio.
I did need to set my speaker output levels upon startup, but that's a separate issue. Marking this fixed.
