Sorry I listed the wrong file name for the file that crashes. I have corrected the ticket and provided a .zip file containing the problem file. Thanks

I also setup my email in the newview preferences so hopefully I will respond in a more timely fashion.

Ok, can reproduce it locally. Will work on that but at the moment my time is limited. Will inform you if i have a test version ready.

One more detail:

  • If clr.inf is not open, the call start view clr return opens the panel 121 correctly.
  • If clr.inf is already open, the call start view clr return makes it crash. If panel 121 was open before, the window is closed immediately. If another panel was displayed, a message box with the error message pops up.

Another bug, maybe related to this: The search for a panel name works only correctly if the file is newly opened. Then it behaves like IBM's view.exe. If the .hlp or .inf file is already open, NewView does a search in the text. (Since there are already too many unresolved tickets reported by me, I won't add a new one for that, until someone starts maintaining it again.)

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
