Description
I run eCS2.2b2. I use ANPM to install libraries. I installed Lucide 1.4.0 following all instructions as well as GMB. Lucide runs but it opens pdf pages slowly and is very slow to change pages in a pdf. It seems to run well when displaying JPGs. I have cheched and rechecked for duplicate DLLs and eliminated them.

Asking again for an example document.
Also, please advise which 1.4.0 RC you are running.
Thanks

http://mirrors.ibiblio.org/CTAN/macros/latex/contrib/l3kernel/interface3.pdf is an example of a document that not only loads slowly but hangs the desktop (you can still move the cursor).
I can upload another document for which scrolling is very slow, if it does not exceed size limits.

It opens and scrolls normally here in 1.5.0.1 which will be available shortly. What kind of drive is the file stored on?

Is this on a FAT32 volume or a network volume, and is this still the case with Lucide 1.5.0? If on FAT32, the next FAT32 driver should be a major improvement.
The interface3.pdf, saved to a local JFS volume on an SSD, opens in a snap. I do have a couple ~1200-page tomes locally with lots of images in them which are bears to open (similarly heavy when using qpdfview), but no desktop hangs or lockups.

As the original reporter in this ticket was discussing rendering slowness in general, for a now-discontinued version, I suggest we re-close this and discuss the WPS blocking issue in ticket #384.
Can you provide an example PDF which performs poorly?
I would agree that rendering of images is less than optimal. Text, however, should render quickly. I just opened a 10,000+ page report today, and scrolling was not a problem.
