IcedTea-Web Java Browser Plugin

IcedTea-Web is a plugin for Mozilla-compatible browsers that allows to run Java applets using the standalone OpenJDK 6 installation.

Current Status

The OS/2 version of the plugin is currently in the Beta stage.

Latest Version

The latest version of IcedTea-Web for OS/2 is 1.3 Beta released on 20.03.2013. This is the first public beta build intended for testing purposes.

Version 1.3 Beta is available for downloading in the following packages and formats.

Prerequisites

OpenJDK 1.6.0 Build 27 GA5​hereOpenJDK 6 JRE (required).
GLib2 2.25.15 build 4​ZIPGLib2 runtime libraries (required).

If you use the ​YUM/RPM package manager, you may install all the prerequisities (except OpenJDK) using the following command: 

yum install glib2
