    1 MakeBackups cause the creation of a backup file e_loadsave.cpp ~527. KeepBackups alone with a couple of other checks may delete the back file. The file might be usable to try to recover a failed save before KeepBackups facilitates deleting it but it doesn't. KeepBackups appear to serve no purpose.
