Description
T61 system:
In 186 I have not yet managed to create a trap 8 spontaneously while doing a large copy to a JFS formatted memory stick.
However I have found that occasionally the copy hangs (although the system is not hung) and if in this state I pull out the stick a trap 8 is generated. (Note I cannot eject it using any means as the things I try to use to eject do not respond presumably because the USB system us locked).
A dump of this (under v 185) is with Stephen Levine.
Good news is that in this version I can successfully format the stick with JFS (I had to go to a different system when I was using v 185)

OK. Experimenting with SYSDUMP shows that was my fault; I did not realise how long it takes just thinking about taking a dump. Will be patient next time.
Point though is that the problem still occurs in 186 (perhaps not surprising)
I have now caused a trap 8 in version 186. Unfortunately despite the CONFIG etc being set up to take a dump and despite entering the dump process and being told it would write 2Gb to the partition nothing actually happened! Better luck next time....
