#17 new defect

Uniaud fails with IBM AP/2 test tool

Reported by: rwklein@… Owned by:
Priority: high Milestone: MMPM/2 Compatibility
Component: UNIAUD16 Version: 1.1.4RC6
Severity: major Keywords: test
Cc: lgrosenthal@…

Some of the MCI tests present in AP2 (AP/2 can be found in the DDK in the ZIP file from IBM). AP/2 can be used to test audio drivers for MMOS/2. If you want I can supply with this tool. It might explain some of the other bugs I'm going to open and some people report there microphone does not work for example properly. It would certainly help to test UNIAUD with this tool and report why some of the test fail.

Funny, we just discussed this tool, and here we have an old ticket about it.

I tested it the other day, but it semi locked my desktop after the conf screen, without showing anything on screen. Needed to kill it.

Devs...please test it...

I had not seen this either. I'll have a look at it after a couple more merges. As a basis, I'm thinking of comparing the results between the sbliveos2 driver and Uniaud. For this I'll try to build sbliveos2 from the latest source to get the benefit of all of Steven's updates.

For the testing page in the Wiki, I'm looking for a decent test suite. If this one isn't going to fill the bill for some reason, then we should perhaps look elsewhere. I'll give this a whirl on my hardware and see what I've got. First, I'll have to dig up the DDK, as I don't know if I have it handy...
