#174 too-old No sound - eCS 2.0 Silver (RC7) David Azarewicz Snowhog
Description

Installed to a Toshiba Satellite P105-S6147 intel Pentium Dual-Core T2060 processor. Audio device in the laptop is an Integrated 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)

ACPI support was installed with /SMP and /EIS options. System boots fine - keyboard is a bit 'slow' and the mouse (USB) a bit 'jumpy', but I do not have working sound. Looking for a solution or directions/suggestions on what to look for/at or do to get my sound working.

Not sure here, what 'Version' applies to, so I may have that incorrect.

Thank you.

#171 too-old SB Live silent with 1.9.19 David Azarewicz SteveW
Description

The uniaud32.sys from the 1.9.19 build works fine on my SB Live 5.1 card, but the uniaud16.sys (448+) causes my card to be silent. The one included in 1.9.16 (418) works fine with the newer uniaud32.sys. I do not have any ACPI driver installed.

What jumps out at me is the garbage at the end of the PCM device name. Looks like some string corruption happening there...

#229 too-old sound is much softer Tellie
Description

Hi David,

I installed latest v2.2 beta from december 2013 I notice that the sounds from the speakers come out much softer then the i had before, i point the speakers up to max and the sound is not much louder then when i have set it to min. So i put back the uniaud to v1.09 and after that i have again the sound i have before. When i set to max now the neighbors banging on the wall :) I attach the log files..
