#187 too-old Sound loops (repeating sound) with UNIAUD 193-21 and SBLive 5.1 card on eCS SMP ACPI 3.14 David Azarewicz gerrit
Description

Applications sound output (e.g. Z!, Emperoar TV)runs into a loop (repeating sound). It happens randomly, sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after half an hour. I am running eCS 2.0 RC6 with the 14.104a#@_SMP kernel in single processor mode. CONFIG.SYS: PSD=ACPI.PSD /APIC /CD /TMR /!NOD UniAud? 1.1.4 works. I have tried Uniaud194-1924.zip which gives the following within 2 seconds after loading uniaud16.sys:

Uniaud194-211.zip and eCS 2.0 GA give similar results (Trap 0008) although I have not recorded the actual trap screens.

I have attached the unilog output from the WORKING configuration using Uniaud 1.1.4 since I can't get much after the Trap0008.

Is the presence of multiple CPUs or the use of the SMP kernel causing this?

Is there a PCI-X (HD) card that is supported? The only slots I have available are PCI-X.

Is there any additional information that I can provide?

Thanks!
