ArcaMapper Global options - defaults

Description

The ArcaMapper has a Global options pages. The pages do not reflect the current status of the smb.conf file. The default options presented in ArcaMapper are inconsistent, low security, sub optimal, and even conflicting. If the user clicks Apply the smb.conf is overwritten with these settings.

While this ticket is basically true, a solution is not that simple, as the default values of these settings come from the connection profile, at this point in time this is per design.

Currently there is no mechanism to keep the connection values (valid for ndpsmb 3.x) and those from smb.conf (valid for the commandline utilities) synchronized.

More or less a workaround would be to set smb.conf according to the connection profile as soon as the connection is created.

Just reading those values from from smb.conf would not be an appropriate solution.
