EVFSGUI crash in dialog mode

Description

Scenario:

  1. Open EVFSGUI.
  2. Make sure the network neighbourhood is empty.
  3. Change into dialog mode
  4. Enter server name
  5. Click onto drop downlist in share entry field.

EVFSGUI crashes.

Reason: EVFSGUI tries to populate the share list and therefore queries the (empty) network neighbourhood, which results in a crash.

The problem was a bit more complicated. The crash only occured if a manually added machine refused browsing with the current credentials.
