New Samba Client GUI

Description

A new Samba Client GUI that supports the following features should be created:

  • Support both Netdrive and EVFS
  • Support smb.pdr for printing
  • Same feature set as EVFSGUI PLUS
    • abitiliy to browse network ressources
    • WPS-like apporach to connect to SMB LAN ressources using either
      • drag and drop or
      • context menu
  • Eventually also support other Netdrive plugins

Portions of the required source code already exist:

  • EVFSGUI basic framework (not publicly available, license?)
  • browsing code from smbmon (in Samba repository)
  • Samba init code in sambainit.vrs (in Samba repository)

Support for printers will be postponed to 2.1 (and the upcoming uni.pdr).
