#24 | fixed | Windows clients show a prepended "C:" on shares from a Samba machine.
Description |
When accessing an OS/2 Samba server from Windows clients using utilities such as SrvMgr?.EXE (from NT 4.0) or Control Panel - Adminstrative Tools - Computer Management (XP Pro)the shares show a prepended "C:" before the real path shared on the Samba machine. 2 pictures are enclosed to illustrate the problem, the one "Windows.jpg" shows how it should look like, the other "Samba" shows how it looks like for Samba shares. The appropriate log is also enclosed. This behaviour existed for all 3.0.25x builds I am aware of. |

#25 | fixed | Changing smbd.conf while smbd.exe is running makes smbd.exe crash
Description |
Adding another share to smb.conf by using a prepared share section in a separate text file using copy /B smb.conf+addx.conf smb.conf makes smbd.exe crash as soon as the next operation rereads smbd.conf. Note: Changing smbd.conf while smbd.exe is running is a normal operation for external scripts such as addshare and others. |
