Description |
Samba continues to try to write a file if is an any errors happens during recording. Some times file stay opened after user's logout until samba runned. It may be reproduced with my program bladder.exe. Bladder.exe can create file with specified size for reducing free space on drive. Also plugin NDPLQ for NetDrive? can be used. Debug version of this plugin will show perpetual writes with errors. |

Description |
The free space is not displayed correctly on on some Samba shares. Besides the inaccuracy that Samba reports free blocks x 65536 (instead of the exact amount of free space as WSeB and IBM Peer do it), the client sees 0 bytes free, when there are 71 MB in one and 567 MB in another case of free space on the share. As the server logs show the appropriate ammount of blocks as free in both cases and a Windows Clients sees the correct free space, this must be a problem of the client. |
