#91 fixed python: (2.7.6) trouble with SSL (to access repo from https) Lewis Rosenthal
Description

I wanted to test accessing an encrypted repo over SSL. As www.2rosenthals.com is also available over SSL (with a recognized thrid-party cert), I simply edited my repo files to use https instead of http in the URI. However, yum check-update comes back with:

    return self._ssl_factory.get_https_connection(host)
AttributeError: SSLFactory instance has no attribute 'get_https_connection'

Python appears to have been compiled with SSL, e.g.:

>>> import ssl

comes back with no errors, and:

>>> import httplib
>>> conn = httplib.HTTPSConnection("mail.google.com")
>>> conn.request("GET", "/")
>>> r1 = conn.getresponse()
>>> print r1.status, r1.reason

comes back with:

200 OK

which leads me to believe that SSL is indeed working.

Looking at the related SSLFactory code, it appears that without M2Crypto, we fall back on python's SSL. I attempted to install M2Crypto, but ran into other problems (related to setupttols not installing).

#92 fixed yum-utils is missing confs for plugins Lewis Rosenthal
Description

I thought I already had yum-utils installed before I manually installed fastestmirror. I just discovered that it was not. However, upon installing it, I find that none of the confs are present in the rpm which need to end up in %UNIXROOT%/etc/yum/pluginconf.d.

I'm not sure of the best way to work this out, but I'm thinking that they should be installed and all set to enabled=0, unless we distribute them separately (I was going to package up a few, after checking dependencies).

I'm only marking this as major because if plugins is set to enabled (1) in yum.conf, running yum after installing this package gets very noisy. ;-)

#93 worksforme autoconf213 fails Dave Yeo
Description

Attempting to rebuild configure in the mozilla directory (FF24ESR branch) fails apparently from a bad shell. At the beginging of the script it writes a temporary file to /tmp/acout### but the file is written to root. Another problem is that sh can not find the autoconf213 script without its full pathname even though it is on the PATH.

[K:\git.mozilla.2]sh autoconf213
sh: Can't open autoconf213

[K:\git.mozilla.2]which sh
k:/usr/bin/sh.exe
[K:\git.mozilla.2]sh /usr/bin/autoconf213
awk: fatal: cannot open file `/tmp/acout.114' for reading (No such file or directory)

Ash fails similarly, using ksh or [k]sh succeeds.
